History
1925 "The Yamamoto Iron Works" was founded by the late Iwajiro Yamamoto at Nozato-Cho, Nishiyodogawa-Ku, Osaka, as a maker of Babcock Type Water Tube Boilers, Holizontal Cylindrical Boilers, Chemical Machinery and Tanks.
1942 Relocated to Takeshima-cho, Nishiyodogawa-ku, Osaka for a facility expansion.
1949 Converted to the joint-stock company.
1954 All sorts of inspection equipment were installed, and became an authorized factory of welded boiler manufacturing from the Ministry of Labor (at present: Ministry of Health, labor and Welfare). Received the enlarged authorization of a production capacity with maximum steel plate thickness of 50mm and operating pressure of 60kg/cm2 in 1956. Then, received the authorization of the welding for power boiler from Ministry of International Trade and Industry (at present: Ministry of Economy, Trade and industry). Became an authorization factory of NK, LR, BV, CR, NV and others.
1959 The 2nd Annealing Furnace and an Electric Automatic Welding Machine (Union Melt) were installed.The workshop fully-appointed for welding.
1967 Changed the core products to marine boiler with the rapid development in the shipbuilding industry in Japan. Achieved 80% of the target order numbers for auxiliary boilers from major shipbuilding companies.
1970 The head office building renovated. Capital increased to JPY 48,000,000.
1976 Capital increased to JPY 73,000,000.
1996 Obtain ISO 9001 certification for the marine products from Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (class NK).
2005 Achieved no accident record for 1992 consecutive days.
2015 The new head office building constructed.
